Dear employers,
We are pleased to update you regarding the latest development on the OPEN DOOR Fund programme, revised since 1 April 2009.
SNEF, in partnership with the Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Principles or TAFEP, has recently developed a new series of workshops entitled: Diversity Management – The Disabilities Series. This 3-day workshop was developed to help clarify employers’ perceptions and expectations regarding the employment of persons with disabilities (PWDs) into their workforce.
The workshops are structured into the following 3 modules:
Workshop 1 focuses on how employers can help create employment opportunities for PWDs using fair employment principles advocated by TAFEP.
Workshop 2 aims to equip participants with knowledge (the ‘that’ and the ‘how’) and the confidence to engage potential or existing colleagues with disabilities.
Workshop 3 aims to assist HR practitioners, safety officers, supervisors and management executives to take into account the needs of workers with disabilities when designing or maintaining their organization’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines and procedures, in accordance to our national WSH Act's framework.
The workshops are currently available only to existing companies tapping on the Enhanced OPEN DOOR Fund, however, we are now opening up the workshops to past ODF companies as well at the subsidized rates.
