Enabling Employers Network

The EE network is an alliance of like minded employers who seek to champion and advance the employment opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs). The network members come from a variety of industries that already engaged PWDs as part of their workforce, and they have over the past 2 years since its inception, made effort to help advocate the employment of PWDs amongst their industry peers. The Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports (MCYS) acknowledgnig this invaluable contribution, have officially presented the network members as of 11 December 2008 with letters of appointment. The recognition greatly enhances the network's efforts in bringing more employers on board this worthy cause of equalising employment opportunites for PWDs in Singapore. Heading this initiative as Chairman of Enabling Employers is Mr Shantha De Silva, General Manager, Holiday Inn Parkview. The Secretariat to the Enabling Employers network is the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF). The Enabling Employers network: • Champion the employment of PWDs through promotion of their capabilities; • Issue success stories to the media on a regular basis; • Serve as "ambassadors" within specific industries to encourage these industries to employ more PWDs.
